TLT faculty learning community to focus on international student engagement

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A new faculty learning community sponsored by Teaching and Learning with Technology is forming at University Park for the 2019-20 academic year. The focus of the community will be finding better ways to engage international students and improving their success in the classroom. The use of technology to enhance this goal also will be explored.

A kick-off meeting will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, in the Statler Room of Café Laura, located in Mateer Building. Faculty and staff with an interest in better engaging international students in the classroom are invited to join the community, which will meet approximately every three weeks on Fridays at noon throughout the fall and spring semesters.

Those planning to attend the kick-off meeting should RSVP to Beth Egan at bme4@psu.edu by Monday, Sept. 9, to reserve lunch, which will be provided by Café Laura and community funds.
