'Can I Kiss You?' one-person show coming to HUB-Robeson Center on Sept. 11

Gender Equity Center bringing nationally renowned entertainer, author to campus to discuss a simple approach to intimacy

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Thinking about sex and intimacy is natural and healthy, yet so many people are still full of questions.

How do you know how far your partner really wants to go with you? When it comes to intimacy, how do you let your partner know what you want without being too subtle or too bossy? Wouldn’t it be great if there was one simple way to know the exact moment your partner wants to be kissed on the first date?

Get the answers to these questions at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in Heritage Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center, when Mike Domitrz, a critically acclaimed author and founder of The Center for Respect, reveals a simple approach to intimacy no one ever shares. Domitrz will help audience members discover the exact words to say and how precisely to handle it if someone says, “No,” as well as an amazing way to impact lives. The “Can I Kiss You?” one-person show has drawn large crowds and high praise on college campuses across the country from people of all backgrounds and sexual orientations.

“Mike came to University Park about five or six years ago and students filled the auditorium and loved the program,” said Jennifer Pencek, programming coordinator for the Gender Equity Center. “People still are so nervous and uncomfortable talking about intimacy, yet it is obviously so important. I like how Mike makes talking about these things easier and makes sure people leave the program with a ton more information than when they entered.”

Laugh until you cry in this interactive, hard-hitting performance where the audience is a vital part of the experience. Plus, those in attendance can win the highly sought after “Want Some Action?” and “Can I Kiss You?” T-shirts.
