Geosciences professor seeks to help communities better respond to climate risks

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Worldwide climate change is intensifying natural disasters and leading to record-high costs in damages, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Penn State Professor of Geosciences Klaus Keller's research group seeks to bring together scientific research and communities to develop effective and affordable solutions.

This video, showcasing Keller's approach, earned the Paul F. Robertson Award for Research Breakthrough of the Year award in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences at Penn State.
