Tewksburys to be remembered at memorial service

The College of Health and Human Development community mourns the deaths of devoted Penn State alumni, longtime volunteers and donors Jane Mason Tewksbury and Thomas W. Tewksbury.

Jane Tewksbury died on June 3, 2019. She was recently preceded in death by husband Tom Tewksbury, who died Feb. 18, 2019.

Jane Tewksbury graduated in 1954 with a degree in home economics. Tom Tewksbury received his master’s degree in physical education that same year.

Tom and Jane Tewksbury were members of the college’s Grand Destiny Campaign Committee and served as co-chairs for the Investing in People Campaign.

In addition to their volunteerism, the Tewksbury’s established a teaching excellence award and several college-based scholarships that have helped many students over the years.
