Penn College names director of financial aid

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — David R. Empet has been appointed director of financial aid at Pennsylvania College of Technology, effective July 8.

Empet, who has nearly 15 years of experience in higher education administration, comes to Penn College from SUNY Corning Community College, where he served as director of recruitment and admissions since May 2018.

Previously, he was assistant director of admissions at Mansfield University from 2006 to 2015. Empet also is the owner/operator of D.R.E. Stone LLC in Galeton.

Empet holds a master of business administration, with a concentration in entrepreneurship, from California University of Pennsylvania. He also earned a master of science in education, with a specialization in computers and technologies, and a bachelor of science in business administration, with a concentration in marketing, both from Mansfield University.

Strickland, vice president for enrollment management and associate provost. “Dave brings a strong foundation in enrollment management and a demonstrated commitment to student success.
