Nominations sought for 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Distinguished Alumni Award, authorized by the Penn State Board of Trustees in 1951, is the University’s highest honor presented to its alumni. The award recognizes the achievements of outstanding alumni whose “personal lives, professional achievements, and community service exemplify the objectives of their alma mater.”

The University’s alumni are selected annually for this honor by the Board of Trustees from a group of candidates recommended by trustees, faculty, staff and alumni. The deadline to submit completed nominations for the 2020 award is Sept. 13.
