Human Resources launches new effort to enhance job recruitment, hiring

Workday Recruiting project seeks to more effectively highlight career opportunities, replace Electronic Job Management System

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Human Resources, in collaboration with several other administrative units, including the WorkLion Management Office and partner Collaborative Solutions LLC, is moving forward with the second phase of the Workday project by implementing the Workday Recruiting module. The official kick off to this effort will begin Monday, June 17, with implementation projected for March 2020.

The goal of Workday Recruiting is to replace the current Electronic Job Management System, refine the University's recruiting processes, and move toward a strategic talent acquisition model.

“This project will allow Penn State to more effectively highlight career opportunities available by designing a strategic approach for our recruiting and hiring,” said Lorraine Goffe, vice president for Human Resources and chief human resources officer.

The project team, as outlined above, will consist of members from Human Resources, the WorkLion Management Office, Collaborative Solutions, and subject matter experts from across all Penn State campuses. The subject matter experts will be solicited for feedback at various stages throughout the entire project life cycle. 

Watch for updates throughout the Workday Recruiting project life cycle that will explore components such as technology, policies, training and processes. Updates will be posted regularly on the WorkLion Management Office website with highlights showcased within WorkLion.
