Klinger serves as an education program associate for the Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy’s Workforce Development Project. In this role, she provides technical assistance for adult and family literacy programs across Pennsylvania for statewide initiatives that relate to adult career pathways. She recently became a certified offender workforce development specialist and serves on the Pennsylvania Workforce Development Board Re-entry Ad Hoc Committee. Klinger has developed several online and face-to-face professional development opportunities for adult education practitioners and volunteer literacy tutors. She recently presented two sessions focused on adult career pathways at the Pennsylvania Association of Adult Continuing Education conference. The first session highlighted best practices for helping re-entrants succeed in career pathways programming. Her second session focused on data-informed decision-making for career pathways program improvement. In May 2019, Klinger will lead a panel discussion on "Braiding Funding to Help Reentrants Succeed in the Workforce" at the Pennsylvania Workforce Development Association conference held in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
