Supplier Diversity Trade Fair slated for May 16

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Procurement Services will hold a Supplier Diversity Trade Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, at the Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus.

The event is open to the Penn State community, including all campuses, as well as to the public.

Held on the concourse level of the Jordan Center, the fair will showcase small, woman-owned, minority-owned, and veteran-owned businesses. About 100 suppliers will represent various commodity and service areas, including the following:

  • advertising
  • cleaning contracting/janitorial
  • consulting
  • custom precision machining
  • design and engineering
  • dining/food service
  • fabrication and stamping
  • furniture
  • general contracting
  • HVAC
  • interior design
  • IT/software
  • manufacturing and testing services
  • novelties
  • office supplies
  • packaging services
  • photography and videography
  • security systems
  • scientific
  • staffing

Penn State General Stores will host a table with Office Depot, and the Penn State Purchasing eBuy team also will host a table.

Suppliers, some of which are current catalog suppliers to the University, represent four procurement areas: Centralized Purchasing, Housing and Foods Purchasing, Applied Research Lab Purchasing, and Office of Physical Plant’s Design and Construction.

Visitors can purchase lunch and snacks at Bryce Jordan Center concessions.
