UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Following finals week, Penn State Information Technology must make changes to its secure wireless networks “psu” and “eduroam” that will require those using Apple, Windows or Linux devices to update their settings in order to remain connected. Android devices will not require an update.

Users should be sure to read all instructions before beginning the update process.

Visit www.wireless.psu.edu/update for device-specific instructions for how to update your settings and more information:

  • Windows users can and should download the update before May 4. After doing so, they will not need to take further action.
  • Apple and Linux users must wait until May 4 to download the update.

All users have been notified by email about these pending changes and will receive a reminder email on May 2.

These changes will not affect any of Penn State’s wireless networks during finals week nor will they affect Penn State’s visitor network “attwifi”.

Those who are planning to visit any of Penn State’s campuses during graduation on May 4 and beyond, and want to connect to either the "psu" or "eduroam" networks will not be able to until they've downloaded the update.
