UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — There are plenty of reasons to return to University Park for We Are Weekend, set for May 31 to June 2.

The Alumni Association’s premier summer weekend features events, giveaways, and plenty of chances to find out what’s new at Penn State while enjoying time-honored traditional favorites.

Recently announced, Bruce in the USA will headline a concert at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, with State College fan-favorite Velveeta kicking things off. Doors and concession stands will open at noon on Saturday, June 1, at Medlar Field, with Velveeta playing at 12:30 p.m.

Then at 2 p.m., fans can rock out to Bruce in the USA, hailed as "the most powerful and intense Springsteen tribute on the planet.”

Top five reasons to attend We Are Weekend:

  • Concert at Medlar Field, featuring Bruce in the USA and Velveeta.
  • Giveaways, including a custom Penn State luggage tag, tote bag, and tailgate blanket.
