WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Does art have the power to relate a positive message to someone in need? How can you use your hands to help others? A new art challenge invites K-12 students to create a work of art using the theme of hands, and is open to artwork in any medium.
Pennsylvania College of Technology invites Pennsylvania elementary, middle and high school students to enter the Helping Hands/Healing Hands Art Challenge inspired by the new public television documentary film, “Working Class: Helping & Healing.”
Entries for the art challenge are being accepted on the “Working Class” website, https://workingclass.tv/, by clicking the “Art Challenge” option within the “Helping & Healing” window.
The deadline for entries is June 3, 2019. Awards will be presented in two categories: grades K-6 and grades 7-12 . The selected artist in each category will receive a selection of art supplies and books.

“Helping & Healing” is the fifth episode in the award-winning “Working Class” series produced by Penn College and WVIA Public Media.
