Faculty and staff recognized at annual IST awards reception

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Faculty and staff members in the Penn State College of Information Sciences and Technology were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the University, the community, and the world at the college's annual awards reception, held March 27 at the Hintz Alumni Center.

Those recognized included:

Rock Ethics Institute Faculty Fellowship — Fred Fonseca, associate professor

Faculty Outreach Award — Carleen Maitland, associate professor

Junior Faculty Excellence in Research Award — Saeed Abdullah, assistant professor

Senior Faculty Excellence in Research Award — James Wang, professor
