Relay teams register to fundraise year-round and pledge to have at least one team member walking the track at all times. At the event, participants and community members will find exciting performances, food, raffles, competitions, surprise appearances, merchandise, ceremonies, and a fun and welcoming atmosphere of all those dedicated to the fight against cancer. This year’s event theme is “Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back.”

A highlight of the event is the Luminaria Ceremony, which recognizes anyone who has personally faced a cancer diagnosis. Participants can purchase and decorate luminaria bags in honor, support or memory of a cancer fighter. Pictures of loved ones also may be submitted via email to psurelay.luminaria@gmail.com to be included in a slideshow shown during the ceremony. Bags and pictures will be accepted until 6:30 p.m. on the day of the event. The Luminaria Ceremony will be held at 8 p.m. on the baseball field.

Anyone can register to participate at psurelay.org or on site on April 6. Individuals may sign up on teams, by themselves, or as caregivers or survivors to receive recognition. Registration for general participants is $15 online and $20 on the day of the event. Caregivers and survivors do not pay to register. Luminaria bags may be purchased online for $10 per bag or at the event for $5 per bag.

Participants and community members are permitted to park in the Porter North lot throughout the event.
