University Police investigating incident of criminal mischief near Pollock Halls

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief that occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 24, in the Blue 81 student parking lot behind Porter and Beaver halls in the Pollock Housing Area at University Park.

A loud verbal altercation between two groups of three males was reported to have taken place. Following the argument, an unknown white male shattered the rear window of a black vehicle by jumping on the trunk and the window. The male was wearing a white or light-colored shirt and jeans, and fled the scene with two other white males.

Those providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 from Centre County CrimeStoppers. University Police would also like to remind the community to: 

  • Do not leave personal items unattended for any period of time.
  • Report items stolen immediately to University Police.
  • If you see someone getting victimized, get involved by calling University Police at 31111, 911 or directly by using an emergency phone.
