Prospective students invited to New Kensington spring events

Spring Open House and Campus Visit Day planned for April at campus

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. - Penn State New Kensington's Office of Admissions and Student Aid welcomes prospective students and their families to visit campus to learn more about academic programs, student life, financial aid and more.

Two main events are scheduled in April including the Spring Open House and a Campus Visit Day. If a student is unable to attend any event, the office also offers personalized, individual appointments and campus tours. Spring Open House

April 6, 2019 | 9 a.m. (Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m.)

Prospective students and their families can explore the university, meet with campus staff and faculty and tour campus with current students.

Students and families will be able to:

  • Learn about Penn State's 275+ bachelor's and 20+ associate degrees.
  • Learn about admissions, student aid, and student life.
  • Tour the campus with current students.

Lunch will be provided. Advisory Board members and Penn State alumni will be in attendance.

Campus Visit Day

April 10, 2019 | 10:30 a.m. (Check-in starts at 10 a.m.)

Campus Visit Day is a way for prospective students to get to know Penn State New Kensington. The visit includes a presentation given by an admissions counselor, the chance to experience a Penn State class, a campus tour given by a Lion Ambassador and lunch at Penn State New Kensington's Café 780.

Participants who have not yet applied for admission are also eligible for a $65 application fee waiver. (Please note, lunch will be provided for the student plus one guest.)
