Heard on Campus: A Conversation with Congresswoman Susan Wild

More than 130 students, faculty and staff attended a Q & A event with Congresswoman Wild on March 22 at the Lehigh Valley campus. Wild was interviewed by Liz Keptner, director of Multimedia Innovation Center at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Keptner asked Wild questions submitted by the campus community. Wild met with Penn State Lehigh Valley Chancellor Tina Q. Richardson and toured the campus upon her arrival. Following the Q & A session, a reception was held for all who attended.

This event was sponsored in part by the Office of the Chancellor, the Office of Academic Affairs, and the Voices for Science Program of American Geophysical Union.

"It was our goal that this event will provide an opportunity for the campus to meet Congresswoman Susan Wild and learn about the policy-making process. We also hope that it will raise awareness of the importance of science policies on our campus," said Tai-Yin Huang, professor of physics, Penn State Lehigh Valley.
