Johnson is the founder and creative director of Ceci New York, a lifestyle brand that is globally regarded as a leader in creating luxurious event invitations. Johnson’s designs have won numerous awards, including the Modern Bride “Trendsetter” award, New York Magazine’s “Top Trendsetter” and “Expert Invitation Designer” awards.

While weddings take top billing at the company, Ceci New York has expanded its offerings to include stationery for social parties, corporate events and children’s parties, as well as home decor and gifts.

An influential and highly regarded entrepreneur, artist, editor and speaker, Johnson’s career has been dedicated to “a lifetime pursuit of living glamorously through design.” Her fashion-forward style and sophisticated aesthetic have led her to be named a “Woman to Watch” by designer Tory Burch and “a favorite designer” by Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue.

Born and raised in Southern California, Johnson earned her degree in art and design from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. As a senior at Cal Poly, she was featured on the cover of Communication Arts magazine as one of the top 10 young artists in the nation.

After graduation, Johnson moved to New York City for a role as creative director with a web consulting business. It was there that she was asked to create the invitations for a co-worker’s wedding and at that point, the Ceci New York brand started to come to life.
