Woodman serves as an academic adviser in the Advising and Certification Center, where she enjoys working with a caseload of around 300 undergraduate students. Her primary caseload includes students who focus on the following teaching and nonteaching majors: elementary and early childhood education; education and public policy; and rehabilitation and human services. In her role, Woodman helps her advisees by interpreting University policies and procedures and curriculum; identifying and monitoring academic progress; and resolving academic problems by working with faculty members. Her other duties include participating in New Student Orientation, meeting with prospective students and their families, assisting transfer students and those from other University colleges and campuses, and helping with the implementation of recruitment and retention efforts by the college. She also serves as a member of the newly formed Staff Advisory Committee for the college; the college's Diversity and Community Enhancement Committee; and the University’s Sponsorship Advisory Committee, which supports the many international students who attend Penn State.
