Honors students conduct research in London on Spring Break

March 11, 2019

LEHMAN, Pa. -- Students from Penn State Wilkes-Barre spent 2019 spring break in London, England, March 2-9, exploring the city and engaged in research projects as part of an honors class. Honors advisers Bill Bachman and Megan Mac Gregor are leading the group to research sites that will deal with a variety of mega-city issues such as the poor and the homeless; urban and green belt planning; government; gender; and education; as well as Scotland Yard and the administration of justice.

Fieldwork data acquired during the trip will ultimately be incorporated in each student’s submission for the annual Celebration of Scholarship competition scholarship, held annually in April prior to the close of the spring semester. Students electing to take courses as honors options often are selected to finish their final two years of study at University Park.
