UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Student Programming Association Concerts has announced a free concert by indie rock band The Wrecks. The concert will be held in the HUB-Robeson Center’s Heritage Hall on at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 21.

The five-piece band, with no prior professional recording experience, formed in late 2015 and released a debut EP, "We Are The Wrecks." Their first single, “Favorite Liar,” featured on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation and landed in the top 40 on alternative radio. The band released its second EP, "Panic Vertigo," in 2018, with a headlining tour to go along with it.

The Wrecks have toured with several big names in the alternative genre, such as All Time Low, The Maine, and New Politics. The band sold out its debut headlining tour in the fall of 2017.

The Wrecks' high energy and rock-and-roll style has earned them a dedicated following as well as catapulted them into the group of up-and-coming bands in the scene.

The performance is free for all students with a valid Penn State University Park Student Photo ID and is funded by the student-initiated fee.
