UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Transportation Services has announced changes to roadway access and campus transit service during the University's spring break.
Burrowes Road closure
Beginning Saturday, March 2, through Saturday, March 9, a section of Burrowes Road will be closed between Steam Alley and the alley separating Reber Building and Hammond Building.
While this closure is in place, drivers should be aware of the following changes to parking access:
— Brown E, Green C, Red H, Red K, and Old Main parking areas will only be accessible by traveling south on Burrowes Road from Curtin Road.
— All Brown A access points will remain available, but those wishing to access Brown A parking areas by traveling north on Burrowes Road from College Avenue will be required to enter via the alley separating Reber Building and Hammond Building.

CATA service changes
CATA will observe its Reduced Service schedule from Saturday, March 2, through Saturday, March 9, which includes no White Loop or Green Link service. In addition, no campus transit routes will be in operation on Sunday, March 3.

Due to the partial closure of Burrowes Road during spring break, the following CATA stops will be closed from Saturday, March 2, through Saturday, March 9:
— Burrowes Road at Waring Commons (stop No. 3)
— Burrowes Road at Deike Building (stop No. 2)
— Burrowes Road at Rec Hall (stop No. 358)
— Burrowes Road at Westgate Building (stop No. 359)
— Burrowes Road at James Elliott Building (stop No. 360)
Riders affected are encouraged to board their buses instead at Pattee Transit Center, Schlow Library, or College Avenue and Allen Street, depending on the route.
CAMPUS SHUTTLE SERVICE CHANGES
Both Campus Shuttle routes and the Hershey Shuttle will remain available.
However, due to the partial closure of Burrowes Road, the following Campus Shuttle stops will be closed from Monday, Mar. 4 through Friday, Mar. 8:
- Reber Building (via College Avenue stop no. 9)
- Westgate/Hosler (via College Avenue stop no. 10)
- Rec Hall (via College Avenue stop no. 11)
- Rec Hall (via Beaver Avenue stop no. 9)
- Westgate (via Beaver Avenue stop no. 10)
- Elliott (via Beaver Avenue stop no. 11)
Riders affected are encouraged to board the shuttles at College Avenue and Allen Street or the Pattee Transit Center, depending on the route.
Regular parking regulations remain in effect
All normal faculty/staff, student and visitor parking regulations will remain in effect during spring break. Due to capacity concerns witnessed during the most recent winter break period, special parking allowances for Orange and Commuter permit holders previously offered during the Thanksgiving holiday, winter break and spring break on days when the University remains open will no longer be authorized.
Parking Office and Fleet Operations open
The Parking Office and Fleet Operations will observe normal office and building hours during spring break.
Student parking after spring break
Students not currently registered for on-campus parking who wish to return to campus after spring break with a vehicle must first register for a permit online at www.parking.psu.edu. Upon completion of the registration, a printable temporary permit is available that can be displayed on the vehicle for immediate access to parking. The permanent permit will then be mailed to the student's campus mailbox or local address. Except for commuter and graduate students, students must have completed at least 29.1 credits prior to the current semester to be eligible for on-campus parking.
