Charity Fox to present on mercenary memoirs in the 20th and 21st centuries

HARRISBURG, Pa. — As part of the Penn State Harrisburg Faculty Seminar Series, Charity Fox, assistant professor of American studies in the School of Humanities, will present, “Mercenary Memoirs in the 20th and 21st Centuries,” from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the Olmsted Building Gallery Lounge.

The presentation will explore intersections of gender, race, class and nationality in memoirs written by authors who identify themselves as mercenaries or warriors for hire. Fox’s research interests include literary cultural studies, gender studies and media studies.
