UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's lacrosse team jumped up to No. 4 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Coaches Poll on Monday after starting the season at 2-0.

Penn State opened the season at No. 9 in the USILA preseason poll, but after taking down Villanova in their season opener, 17-7, and topping Robert Morris in record-breaking fashion with a 27-10 win this past weekend, the USILA Coaches Poll took notice, moving them up to No. 4.  The Nittany Lions were also ranked No. 4 in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, and No. 5 in the US Lacrosse Magazine/Nike Media Poll.

The Nittany Lions trailed No. 1 Yale, No. 2 Loyola-Maryland, and No. 3 Maryland in the USILA poll. The Big Ten also saw Rutgers come in at No. 9, Ohio State at No. 13, and Johns Hopkins at No. 15. Michigan was receiving votes.
