Penn State employees can now join Weight Watchers at half the cost

Subsidy will allow first six months at 50 percent the price of full membership

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State has partnered with Weight Watchers since 2011, offering University employees reduced pricing on Weight Watchers’ memberships. Recently, Weight Watchers re-imagined its approach to health and wellness. Now rebranded as "WW," the program aims to not only help members in their weight management and nutritional goals, but help them achieve total wellness.

All full-time Penn State employees can take advantage of a subsidy, reducing the cost of membership by more than 50 percent for the first six months. Employees can attend unlimited local meetings and will have access to all of WW’s Digital interactive tools, like a weight tracker, progress charts and restaurant guides.

Weight Watchers workshops are located all throughout Pennsylvania, including two workshops offered at University Park:

  • Noon to 12:45 p.m. Tuesdays, in Rider Building
  • Noon to 12:45 p.m. Wednesdays, in Outreach Building, Room 121G
