UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — AI Immersion Day, originally scheduled for Feb. 20 at the Nittany Lion Inn, will be rescheduled for another date, due to inclement weather.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to explore the nuances of working with artificial intelligence technology alongside Microsoft, Amazon, Google and Oracle during AI Immersion Day.

The real-world learning experience will give attendees an opportunity to build their skill set in AI and machine learning. There will be two opportunities to experience educational sessions and hands-on workshops: noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.

Daren Coudriet, director of the Nittany AI Alliance, said one of the challenges of working with AI is that it is rapidly evolving.

“AI Immersion Day was created to provide faculty, staff and students with the opportunity to get the latest information and hands-on experience with AI tools and platforms, directly from each company,” Coudriet said. “With our industry-integrated approach, it is our goal for attendees to come away from the day’s sessions with a better understanding of how AI and machine learning could advance their thinking and solution development. We are very grateful for the participation of our AI company partners as we could not do this without them.”

Students, faculty and staff with all levels of experience are welcome to attend AI Immersion Day; registration for the event is free.
