Black Law Students Association features speaker in honor of Black History Month

CARLISLE, Pa. — Kendall D. Isaac, general counsel for Dickinson College, will speak about expanding the view of social justice to be inclusive of firm and in-house counsel work on Monday, Feb. 25, as part of Black History Month. Hosted by Dickinson Law’s Black Law Students Association, his talk will begin at 12:30 p.m. in Lewis Katz Hall, room 112.

Isaac joined Dickinson College as general counsel in September 2018. As chief legal officer for the college, he provides legal counsel and services to institutional leaders and Board of Trustee members, and works collaboratively with inside and outside stakeholders to ensure that risks are managed in ways that are most advantageous to the realization of Dickinson College’s strategic initiatives.

Isaac’s previous experiences in higher education have included serving as an assistant law professor, chief of staff, chief human resource officer, and director of graduate programs and strategic planning. He has also provided supervisory leadership over departments such as compliance, events management, sponsored programs, government relations, and campus safety.

Isaac received his bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University, his law degree from Capital University Law School, and his doctorate of education from Columbus State University. He is an active member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys, and he has published extensively on legal issues.
