WYOMISSING, Pa. — Penn State Berks Benefiting THON, a student organization, is inviting the community to take the “Polar Plunge” to raise funds for THON, the world's largest student-run philanthropy dedicated to supporting children with pediatric cancer and their families. This year's event will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the beach at Blue Marsh Lake. Registration is $25.

THON, the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, is a year-long effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. THON's fundraising helps offset the cost of a child's cancer treatment and helps establish research endowments aimed at increasing the cure rates of pediatric cancer treatments. Penn State Berks Benefiting THON is the student organization at Penn State Berks affiliated with THON.
