Rice serves as director of the EDUCATE (Exploring Directions in Ubiquitous Computing and Teacher Education) program. The mission of EDUCATE is to empower faculty and future education professionals to make critically informed decisions surrounding digital tools that support their teaching, learning, and inquiry and scholarship. Rice supports teacher education faculty by jointly exploring technological solutions to pedagogical problems of practice and engages in joint research with faculty around these solutions.
