President Barron emphasizes University's student entrepreneurship focus

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State President Eric J. Barron wrote an op-ed article last week for The Conversation about the emerging trend of student entrepreneurs leveraging resources on college campuses across the country and the importance of universities building support for these initiatives.

As chair of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) newly formed Commission on Economic and Community Engagement (CECE), Dr. Barron is working with universities and government partners to identify key areas crucial to maximizing the impact of public research universities.
