Penn State Police investigating hit-and-run vehicle accident

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Lot 83 near Pollock Building at University Park. At 9:59 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, an unknown individual struck a vehicle in the lot and left the scene shortly thereafter. The individual was driving a newer dark red, four-door Chevrolet Silverado.

Anyone with information about the incident or the driver of the pickup should contact Penn State University Police at 814-863-1111 or submit tips via email to Centre County CrimeStoppers at tip@centrecountycrimestoppers.org. Those providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 from Centre County CrimeStoppers. Anonymous tips can be submitted online at https://police.psu.edu/report-crime.

University Police also would like to remind the community to: 

  • Do not leave personal items unattended for any period of time.
  • Report items stolen immediately to University Police.
  • If you see someone getting victimized, get involved by calling University Police at 814-863-1111, 911 or directly by using an emergency phone.
