Penn College nursing faculty member earns credential

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — A Pennsylvania College of Technology nursing faculty member recently received the Certified Academic Clinical Nurse Educator credential, newly available through the National League for Nursing.

Ann E. Morrison, instructor of nursing, was awarded the credential after successfully passing the Academic Clinical Nurse Educator Certification Exam. The exam was created for academic clinical nurse educators to demonstrate expertise in this role.

Academic clinical nurse educators facilitate the learning of nursing students throughout clinical components of the students’ academic education.

Morrison began her teaching experience with Penn College in 2000 as a clinical instructor and became a full-time instructor in 2005. She holds a master of science in nursing with a concentration in nurse education from University of Phoenix, a bachelor of science in nursing from Lycoming College, and an associate of science in nursing from Mount Aloysius Junior College.

Her nursing experience includes acute rehab, adult medical/surgical, telemetry and management.
