Woskob Family Gallery hosts December First Friday and Clay Club ceramic sale

December 03, 2018

December's First Friday will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Woskob Family Gallery. There will be a pop-up sale of affordable ceramic works by members of the Clay Club, the student organization of Penn State’s nationally recognized ceramics program. Holiday shoppers can check out the ceramic works, priced between $10 and $60.

After the holiday shopping, visitors of all ages can explore a variety of art making strategies and techniques led by students from Penn State's Art Education program, including screen printing, drawing, vinyl decal-making, and more. Light refreshments will be served for the first Friday of December.

Woskob Family Gallery, located on Allen Street in downtown State College, is a space for contemporary art and culture. Ann Tarantino, assistant professor in the Penn State School of Visual Arts, has been gallery curator and director since 2015. During that time, the gallery has transformed into a place where viewers of all ages can find something that speaks to them.
