Classes, activities canceled at University Park for Nov. 16

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Following a review of regional road conditions, classes and activities are canceled on the University Park campus on Nov. 16. Regularly scheduled activities will resume at 5 p.m., but evening classes are canceled.

For students:
Classes are canceled for the day, including evening classes.

For employees scheduled to report before 5 p.m.:
Only employees previously identified as performing essential services should report today as regularly scheduled, unless advised otherwise by their supervisor. Faculty and staff also should review Handling Weather Day Absences (Human Resources Guideline 10) at http://guru.psu.edu/policies/OHR/hrg10.html for specific information on how time missed for weather situations is handled.

For employees scheduled to report at or after 5 p.m.:
Employees who are scheduled to begin work after 5 p.m. are expected to report at their next regularly scheduled reporting time.

All employees and students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own safety. Faculty, staff and students should use their own best judgment when considering traveling to campus or the need to leave early during times of inclement weather.
