Country band Alabama to bring 50th Anniversary Tour to Bryce Jordan Center

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — On Jan. 21, 1996, Alabama was the first-ever country act to perform at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center. Twenty-three years later, Alabama will return to the Bryce Jordan Center as part of its 50th Anniversary Tour with special guest the Charlie Daniels Band. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019.

The Country Music Hall of Fame band has charted 43 No. 1 singles — including such hits as “Mountain Music” and “Song of the South” — and won 179 Country Music Association, Grammy, and Academy of Country Music awards, while selling 80 million albums over the last half-century.
