Five recent graduates selected as Young Alumni Ambassadors

Matching gift, peer mentors highlight program’s second year

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Alumni Association has selected five recent graduates as 2018 Young Alumni Ambassadors who will share a yearlong experience aimed at developing their skills to become Penn State’s future volunteer leaders.

Each ambassador is matched with an alumni volunteer leader and an affiliate group of the Penn State Alumni Association, as well as a professional mentor to provide a learning opportunity across the Penn State network.

The 2018 ambassadors, all 2018 Penn State graduates who were selected after a competitive national process, are:

  • Marisa DeGennaro 
  • Mary Susan McAndrew 
  • Alex Myers 
  • Thomas (T.J.) Rushton 
  • Tommy Slotcavage
