UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — 2019 Benefits Open Enrollment closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16. Benefits open enrollment gives employees the opportunity to change or update their benefit elections for 2019. To help employees decide which benefits are best for them, Penn State Human Resources, in partnership with the WorkLion Management Office, has created a variety of resources.
To help employees understand their benefits options, the benefits team is conducting online webinars until Thursday, Nov. 15. For those who can’t attend a webinar, a pre-recorded version is available.
For the first time, Open Enrollment will be completed in Workday. The WorkLion Management Office has created step-by-step tutorials to help guide faculty and staff, postdocs, and technical service employees through this process.
It’s important that employees complete open enrollment by the deadline as the event closes at 5 p.m. on Nov. 16. If no action is taken, employees will default into their current elections, except for any elections to Health Savings or Flexible Spending Accounts, which will reset to zero unless you elect to contribute to these accounts.
