Bellisario College researchers prominent at national conference

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — More than two dozen researchers and scholars with ties to the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State will participate in the annual National Communication Association Convention in Salt Lake City this week, Nov. 8-11.

The Bellisario College contingent includes five faculty members, nine alumni who are faculty members at other institutions and 13 graduate students serving in a variety of roles, from presenting papers to leading sessions. The mass communication topics addressed the the convention will range from health communications to gaming and many more.

This is the 104th convention for the association, which advances communication as the discipline that studies all forms, modes, media and consequences of communication through humanistic, social scientific and aesthetic inquiry. NCA serves the scholars, teachers, and practitioners who are its members by enabling and supporting their professional interests in research and teaching.
