UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The public is invited to hear live music from two State College bands and watch an advanced screening of an original WPSU production during a free event at the State Theatre on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

WPSU Penn State will host a screening of its original production, “Metronome From The Attic,” and local groups Ted & Molly and Their Friends, and Lenina Crowne will play original songs for the audience. The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 8 p.m., and advance registration is preferred

“Metronome From The Attic” — a WPSU Digital Studios production — captures local Pennsylvania musicians playing and talking about their music from The Attic at The State Theatre in State College. WPSU Digital Studios offers original web series that explore science, the arts, culture and more.

“When we start a gig it’s like a roller coaster,” said Ted McCloskey of Ted & Molly and Their Friends. “That makes it fun because every night’s going to be different.”

The digital premiere of the season’s first two episodes, which feature the musicians playing at the Nov. 13 event, will launch Monday, Nov. 19, on the show’s website and WPSU Facebook page. The episodes also will air on Thursday, Nov. 22, at 8 and 8:30 p.m. on WPSU-TV.

“It’s awesome to be playing at a cover show and people just keep yelling for our originals,” said Greg Ford of Lenina Crowne. “It’s probably one of my favorite things to see.”
