UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics has announced that it will not sell any additional single-game parking permits in advance of the Nov. 10 Wisconsin football game in Beaver Stadium. The contest will kick at noon or 3:30/4 p.m., with the kick time to be announced by Sunday, Nov. 4.

The wet conditions that have persisted this fall and the impact of the Oct. 27 contest with Iowa have some grass lots in poor condition, with additional rain in the forecast during the next week. Penn State officials are monitoring the forecast and the prognosis for improving the conditions of the lots before making a final decision on possible lot closures for the Wisconsin game.

Intercollegiate Athletics utilizes several intramural fields for football parking among its game day lots, and parking vehicles on those fields will continue to cause more damage with fall intramural sports still in progress for Penn State students.

Additionally, ICA utilizes multiple fields operated by the College of Agricultural Sciences for game day parking, which also have been damaged over the course of season, with the greatest impact occurring during the Iowa game.

Penn State is asking patrons for their patience and understanding and will announce any parking changes for the Wisconsin game as soon as more information is available on the condition of the grass lots.
