UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — 2019 Benefits Open Enrollment runs from Thursday, Nov. 1, through 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16. Benefits open enrollment gives employees the opportunity to change or update their benefit elections for 2019. To help employees decide which benefits are best for them, Penn State Human Resources, in partnership with the WorkLion Management Office (WMO), has created a variety of resources.
To help employees understand their benefits options, the benefits team is conducting online webinars until Thursday, Nov. 15. For those who can’t attend a webinar, a pre-recorded version is available. Employees will need to run Adobe Flash to view this presentation.
For the first time, benefits open enrollment will be completed in Workday. The WMO has created step-by-step tutorials to help guide faculty and staff, post docs, and technical service employees through this process.
It’s important that employees complete open enrollment by the deadline, as the event closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16. If no action is taken, employees will default into their current elections, except for any elections to Health Savings or Flexible Spending accounts, which will reset to zero unless an employee elects to contribute to these accounts. As a reminder, the open enrollment event is located in an employee’s Workday Inbox. Employees with questions can contact HR Services at 814-865-1473.
