Conference organizers seek student input

Organizers of the annual Diversity in Education conference are seeking student input in the planning of the 2019 conference, which will be held in January. Students are asked to indicate if they would prefer a full-day or half-day conference. In previous years, the conference has followed a half-day agenda.

The full-day option would provide six one-hour sessions, lunch and a keynote speaker. The half-day option would provide six speakers, with two sessions held each hour, and a keynote speaker. Students would have to pick which sessions they wish to attend and would not be able to attend all sessions.

Students also are asked to select topics they would like to learn more about at the conference. Topics include gender issues, social justice in education, race/ethnicity, and foster/adopted children and blended families, among others. Students also may write in their own topic suggestions.

Students should visit https://goo.gl/forms/JYiJbGQfdMDIAouH3 no later than Thursday, Nov. 1, to submit feedback.
