UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State has announced parking changes for Saturday’s football game against Iowa due to existing wet conditions and the forecast for additional rain later this week. Vehicles will be redirected to other parking lots near Beaver Stadium for the 3:30 p.m. contest between the No. 17 Nittany Lions and No. 18 Hawkeyes.

Intercollegiate Athletics utilizes several intramural fields for football parking, and this week’s rain will continue to cause more damage to the fields with fall intramural sports still in progress for Penn State students. The Nittany Lions have two home football games remaining after the Iowa contest.

Fans who normally park cars and RVs in paved lots will be unaffected. Permit holders with a white stripe through their permit have a paved parking space, which are not impacted by this Saturday’s lot closures.

As of Wednesday, Yellow Lot 12, the Orange Preferred Car, Brown Preferred and Family Friendly lots will be closed on game day (see below).

Penn State officials are monitoring the forecast for the rest of the week, which could impact additional parking lot closures for Saturday’s game. General parking is available for advance purchase ($22.25) or on game day ($60, cash) in the available lots (see below).

Penn State is asking patrons for their patience and understanding, as the wet conditions and forecast for rain later this week will make some grass lots unsuitable for parking. Fans are asked to carpool and avoid bringing an RV for the Iowa game, unless the RV parking is on pavement.
