Community advised of military flyover before Penn State-Iowa game

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Citizens throughout central Pennsylvania and fans attending the Penn State-Iowa football game on Saturday, Oct. 27, are being advised that a military flyover will take place during pregame ceremonies.

U.S. Air Force A-10 Warthogs are scheduled to fly over Beaver Stadium immediately following the national anthem, at approximately 3:21 p.m. The planes will be flying from the south as they approach the stadium.

The No. 17 Nittany Lions host the No. 18 Hawkeyes at 3:30 p.m. Saturday for Penn State’s Military Appreciation Game. The Beaver Stadium gates will open at 1:30 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN, the Penn State Sports Network (2 p.m. airtime), and GoPSUsports.com.
