UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center can help you learn to be proactive about protecting your identity, in a Zoom webinar slated for noon on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

Some 11 million Americans are the victims of identity theft each year, according to the Federal Trade Commission, with people of all ages being vulnerable to those who trade in stolen personal information, credit cards and financial accounts.

Tuesday’s webinar will teach viewers how to know if their identity is compromised, then offer advice on how to protect against theft, how to be safe with information when traveling, how to protect your family, and finally what steps to take when your identity is compromised.

The webinar through the Sokolov-Miller Center is available to the entire Penn State community at no cost through this Zoom link. See the self-study modules for more details.

The Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center offers services to the entire Penn State community and is part of Penn State Undergraduate Education, the academic administrative unit that provides leadership and coordination for University-wide programs and initiatives in support of undergraduate teaching and learning at Penn State.
