ERIE, Pa. — Penn State Behrend’s fifth annual Faculty, Staff, and Alumni Art Show will open on Monday, Nov. 5, with a “Meet the Artists” reception from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Lilley Library gallery.

The show, which will remain on display through early January, will feature works by faculty and staff members from several departments of the college. Submissions from Penn State Behrend alumni also will again be accepted. This year, participants whose work is accepted will receive a gift card to Tim Hortons.

The reception and show are free and open to the public. Both are supported by the Mary Behrend Cultural Fund and co-sponsored by the arts administration program at Penn State Behrend. Parking is available in the Reed Union Building lot or any visitor parking lots, and visitor parking permits can be obtained from the Police Services office in Erie Hall.

“It’s always nice to see the creative work our community engages in,” said Heather Cole, assistant teaching professor of digital arts, who organizes the show. “I hope to see a few new faces in addition to our regular contributors.”

Submissions are now being accepted. Any form of media is eligible, but the art should be ready to hang or otherwise display. Alternative media may be accepted, but must first be discussed with the show’s curators, Cole and Scott Rispin, assistant teaching professor of art.

Visit http://sites.psu.edu/behrendarts/art/ for submission tickets. For more information, contact Cole at htm2@psu.edu or Rispin at gsr12@psu.edu.
