UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's ice hockey team has announced a 3:30 p.m. start time for its contest against Niagara University on Saturday, October 20.
The men's ice hockey game will follow the women's ice hockey game scheduled for 12:00 p.m. at Pegula Ice Arena.
With a sold out Metallica concert at the Bryce Jordan Center at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, the Nittany Lions have scheduled their game for 3:30 p.m., allowing fans to attend the game without added traffic or parking restrictions.
"Simultaneously sold out Pegula Ice Arena and Bryce Jordan Center events have created a parking and traffic challenge that needed to be addressed. Unfortunately, the game time also coincides with Penn State Football playing at Indiana. Workable parking and traffic solutions that provide adequate recovery time from the prior evening's game for the student-athletes was best achieved with a 3:30 puck drop." Michael Cross, Assistant AD for New Business Revenue and Sport Administrator for Hockey.
Fans will be able to attend all three events Saturday, October 20, without any extra restrictions.
