UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State and State College communities are invited to join the Lion Ambassadors for Haunted Valley, a spooky celebration of Penn State’s history, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.

The public can embark on tours of Penn State’s haunted past, starting at Old Main and concluding at the Hintz Family Alumni Center. Learn about the campus’ eerie ghost stories with the help of our tour guides and some special characters along the way. While waiting, tour groups also can explore Old Main's bell tower for a look at the University Park campus and State College under the stars.

Tours will lead back to the Hintz Family Alumni Center, where the activities continue. “Trick or treat” becomes just “treat”; guests can indulge in custom candy apples, apple cider and more while enjoying live performances. The event includes fall-themed activities for the whole family, from pumpkin painting to "boo bingo." The brave also are encouraged to put their nerves to the test and venture through a special haunted house. With Halloween drawing nearer, this annual event appeals to both school spirit and holiday spirit.

About the Lion Ambassadors

The Lion Ambassadors are Penn State’s Student Alumni Corps who aim to communicate the University’s history, personality and traditions to students, alumni and friends. As “ordinary students with extraordinary pride,” the Lion Ambassadors' main mission is to foster the idea that involvement with Penn State is a lifelong commitment, and achieve this by offering tours of campus, planning University-wide programming, organizing the S-Zone for sports events, and more.
