Penn College economics professor presents at state conference

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Abdul B. Pathan, professor of economics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, presented a paper at the annual meeting of the Pennsylvania Economics Association, held recently at Penn State Altoona.

Pathan’s paper, “Make Principles of Economics Class Interesting to Your Students,” explored live demonstrations involving various economics topics and explained the need for utilizing various techniques in lecture delivery.

Also at the conference, Pathan served as a discussant on a paper written by an economics colleague at Albright College.

A 31-year faculty member at Penn College, Pathan’s areas of expertise include international economics, macro and microeconomics, economics education, and development economics.

He holds a doctorate from the University of Houston and master’s degrees from Williams College in Massachusetts and Dhaka University in Bangladesh.
