Alumna to host Wine Glass Painting class

College of Education alumna Nancy Alpago and the Mount Nittany Winery have teamed up to offer a Wine Glass Painting class for the College of Education community. The class will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Mount Nittany Winery. The cost is $35 per person. Those interested in participating must reserve a spot by Oct. 10. Faculty Council meeting dates set

The Faculty Council is the public voice of the College of Education faculty and community. The council brings public attention to issues of concern, and has a consultative role to advise Dean David Monk on policy and support shared government. Monthly meetings are attended by Monk or his appointed representative and are open to the public. All 2018-19 Faculty Council meetings will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in 273 Chambers Building. Dates for these meetings are: Sept. 20, Oct. 18, Nov. 15, Dec. 13, Jan. 17, Feb. 21, March 21 and April 18. Nominations sought for Faculty/Staff Achievement Awards

Penn State Human Resources is now accepting nominations for the Faculty and Staff Achievement Awards for 2019. These awards, given annually, recognize the efforts of faculty and staff who go beyond their basic duties to bring about positive and lasting change to the University and/or to the community. The deadline to make nominations is Monday, Nov. 19. For more information about the awards and how to nominate, visit https://app.ohr.psu.edu/awards/index.cfm.
